We also offer a supplemental retirement plan through the Mississippi Deferred Compensation Plan and Trust 457 for all benefits eligible employees.

Mississippi State University offers tuition remission benefits to all benefits eligible employees and eligible retirees and their dependents.
Benefits eligible employees can take up to six hours per semester, upon approval from their supervisor.

18 days/per year (144 hours) from the first month until 3 years of service.
Nine Month faculty earn major medical leave in lieu of personal leave. (15 days/year.)
12-month Faculty and Staff earn 12 days/year from the first month until 3 years of service.

For many MSU employees, Bulldog sports are an important part of campus life. MSU employees can purchase discounted season tickets – 20 percent off baseball, men's and women's basketball, and football tickets.
Regularly ranked as one of the nation's best golf courses, the 6,927 yard MSU Golf Course is an 18 hole, par 72, PGA sanctioned, championship course. MSU employees receive discounts on green fees and semester golf passes.
The Mississippi State University Work Life Balance Committee aims to act as liaisons and advocates for faculty, staff and administration looking to balance work and life issues by offering support, information, resources and affecting new policies. Several particular topics fall under the scope of this committee, which include but are not limited to dependents, mental and physical health, and workplace policies and procedures.
